The Lions Den
Account deletion

How to delete your Lions Den account

You can delete your account and all data stored with it from inside the app, in under a minute, without contacting us. Here is exactly where the control is and exactly what gets removed.

App: The Lions Den · Publisher: Big Sky Horizon Software LLC · lionsdendiscipleship.com/delete-my-account
In the app

Four steps

1

Open the app and sign in

Deletion happens from your own signed-in account, so we know the request is yours. If you can't sign in, use the email path at the bottom of this page.

2

Go to Profile

Tap the Profile tab in the bottom navigation bar — the rightmost tab.

3

Scroll to Danger Zone

At the very bottom of the Profile screen, below Security and Reminders, is a section labelled Danger Zone. Tap Delete account.

Profile → Danger Zone → Delete account
4

Type the confirmation phrase

A dialog asks you to type an exact phrase before the Delete button becomes active. Type it, tap Delete, and your account is gone.

I'm sure delete
This cannot be undone

Deletion is immediate and permanent. There is no grace period, no archive and no way for us to restore your streaks, history or journal afterwards. If you only want to step away from a group, leave the cohort instead — your account stays intact and you can rejoin later with the invite code.

What gets deleted

✕
Your account
Name, email address and password hash are removed from our database.
✕
All check-ins
Every discipline check-in and every streak built from them, across all twelve weeks.
✕
Cohort membership
You are removed from your den. Your brothers no longer see your name or status. Cohorts you created stay with the remaining members.
✕
Journal entries
Every entry you have written is deleted from our database and from the local copy on your device. There is no export step afterwards — save anything you want to keep first.
✕
Reminder settings
Any scheduled daily reading reminders are cancelled on the device.

What stays, and for how long

›
Encrypted infrastructure backups
Routine database backups may contain your records for up to 30 days before they age out automatically. They are not used to restore individual accounts.
›
Support correspondence
If you emailed us, that email thread remains in our support mailbox unless you ask us to purge it.
›
App Store / Google Play records
Your download history is held by Apple and Google under their own policies. We have no access to it and cannot delete it.

Can't get into the app?

If you've lost access to your device or can't sign in, email [email protected] from the address on the account with the subject "Delete my account". We'll verify it's you and delete it within 30 days — usually the same week.
